Anacostia RiverKeeper
The Anacostia Riverkeeper works to protect and restore the Anacostia River and create opportunities for the community to connect to the river. The Anacostia Riverkeeper coordinates the Water Quality network of volunteer monitors and publishes a periodic update on the health of Rock Creek, the Potomac, and the Anacostia.

Anacostia Watershed Society
The Anacostia Watershed Society was founded in 1989 by visionary Bob Boone who was determined to ensure that the “Forgotten River” would be forgotten no longer. Over the years, AWS has fought proposals for inappropriate development, held politicians accountable, and worked to advance pioneering public policy in the District, and Prince Georges and Montgomery Counties.
Rock Creek Conservancy
The Rock Creek Conservancy exists to restore the creek and its parklands as a natural oasis for everyone to appreciate and protect.

Natural Resources Defense Council
Since 1970, NRDC has worked throughout the country to ensure the rights of all people to clean air, clean water, and healthy communities. Locally, NRDC lawyers are active on local issues such air and water quality, drinking water, green bank, and water and air quality permits.
Potomac Riverkeeper Network
The mission of the Potomac Riverkeeper Network is to protect the public’s right to clean water in the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers and their tributaries. The Network works to stop pollution in order to enhance the safety of our drinking water, protect healthy river habitats, and enhance public use and enjoyment.
